Celtic Scrapbooking

Kim Davis's Daughter's Irish Dance Scrapbook

If you’re like me, you probably look for Irish dancing anything, wherever you go. You’ve probably also noticed the serious lack of anything beyond shamrocks for decorating scrapbooks, making greeting cards, or gluing things to your cat.

Never fear! Celtic Scrapbooking is here, started by Joseph Flahiff — a bona-fide Feis Dad. John spoils us with a variety high-quality scrapbooking stickers, diecuts and kits. He also has some great incentives going on:

Celticuts

Celticuts page kit example

Celticuts’ owner LOVES to scrapbook. Almost four years ago, she was looking for anything related to Irish Dancing so that she could scrapbook her daughter’s pictures, but there was nothing except for a few stickers and some stamps. (Some very nice ones, by the way—she thinks she has all of them so far!)

So, with a few sketches and some creative thinking, Cherish Scrapbook Designs was born. As you can see, they have changed their name, because they are now focused on providing you with a wide variety of scrapbook supplies with that wonderful Celtic theme.

Highlander Celtic Stamps

Stamps from Highlander Celtic Stamps

Highlander Celtic Stamps was founded by Kim Victoria and T. E. Watson. They noticed that there were virtually no images available for clip art or otherwise in the Scottish, Irish and Celtic genre. Therefore, shortly after their wedding, they created Highlander Software and started producing the Celtic Collections of graphics libraries for use on the computer. These collections are still available (see Highlander Software below). Soon rubber stampers were requesting these images for their use as well and in 1997 Highlander Celtic Stamps was begun.

Highland Celtic Stamps in an Angel company, which means that they allow the use of our stamps to create items that will be for sale as long as those items were hand stamped. They will also help you order a digital version of a stamp to use when you don’t need the physical object, such as designing wedding invitations.

Highlander Graphics Software

Graphic Collections and Books from Highlander Graphics Software

Collections of graphics, and books. Highlander Graphics was started in October of 1995 with the mission of becoming a resource for Celtic artwork. We produced in the first year the first software package filled exclusively with Celtic imagery.

The main idea was to provide a way to help graphically hungry documents (of a Celtic nature—historic, fictional, or non-fictional) become enhanced with imagery appropriate for the subject matter.

McAleer Highland Gear

Stamps from McAleer Highland Gear

McAleer Highland Gear is located in Beautiful British Columbia and was born out of frustration. Being involved in Highland Dance for 16 years, we discovered that gear is hard to come by in the Interior of BC, so we decided to start our own business.

We started out by selling shoes and now have grown and currently working in partnership with Marg’s Highland Dance Wear to provide your highland dancer with all their gift and costume needs.

Canadian Representative of Highlander Graphic Stamps.

Reel Cutters

Chocolate Dancer and Kicking Irish Dancer Cookie Cutter

I haven’t had the chance to make anything of my own just yet, but I’m itching to get my hands on Irish dance mom Beth Szekely’s cookie cutters! Beth has a 12-year-old daughter and has been an Irish Dance Mom for 7 years. She is also about to introduce another daughter, who is 3½ years old.

Beth began by selling chocolate Irish Dancers at a few local feiseanna in 2005. Instead of staying enamored with the chocolate, people started to ask why she wasn’t selling the mold itself! So she did. She then added cookie cutters to her line of reely clever cookware.

Beth has found more products that compliment each other, and brings them together on her Website. Some are her own and some are from other vendors. Keep checking back, she says, as she will have new molds and something altogether new coming along.

We can’t wait, Beth!
